A while ago me and my friend picked up 2 mini-moto's from ebay for £60 each (bargain we thought!)

They're pretty agro with a pull start, manual choke and 2 stroke fuel which you have to premix Thumbs Down
Assume they're 50cc...

Is there anything interesting I could do with it, so I can learn somethign about mechanics in bikes?
I know its probably mechanically very different to my geared YBR...

Maybe make a hovercraft out of it or something Mr. Green

The tyres are utterly bald on it and when we took it for a lol ride a year ago round some woods and doggers country lane, I used the front brake slightly and slapped my palms straight into the road (ouch)

We were riding around with no helmets or kit on this dodgy road, and then off road in some lake thing in a residential area ( I know its stupid, there was nowhere we could have fun wiht them as theyre so fucking loud and annoying!)

Maybe even cannibalizing it for parts
Could just sell it on i guess, but i'm quite fond of it for some reason Rolling Eyes

But yeah, went off on a tangent slightly there...

Maybe I could pimp it up somehow and sell it lol Rolling Eyes

Sounds like you have the 49cc cag things. I'd be tempted to make up some sort of muffler for it. For no poke they have a stupid amount of noise. Rolling Eyes

They can be a laugh though, I'd be tempted to make a mini gp bike or something! (just the sticker scheme etc)

Theres a few go kart tracks that let them on. You'd have to use google to find them.

I owned a origami b1 replica. No one would believe it was about 9-10 bhp and would quite happily zoom up to about 55mph. Shocked Only 39cc aswell so you could pull start it with your two smallest fingers. Laughing

If you're going illegal with them, please quiten them down!

My mate DIY'd a plant pot full of fibreglass and binbags as a muffler... Worked until it overheated and melted Thumbs Up

I would LOVE them to be quieter, its SO loud its retarded, literally have to drive out into the middle of nowhere with them...And pull starting mine was a super bitch, it takes forever and about rips my arms off - But whyyy?

Mine also randomly cut out when going along, completely dead have to restart engine - right cunt!

They are a modified petrol powered disc cutter, made to resemble a motorbike.

Remove rear wheel, replace with 10" grinding disc; return it to its original purpose!

My brother had a cheap mini moto a few years ago.

He got pulled by the police and as you might expect told not to ride it on the road. There is practically nowhere you can use them unless you own some land. We used to carry it down to a quiet part of the sea defences near my house and ride it as fast as we could over the rough concrete.

Fun but dodgy as heck Laughing .

If they're no-name Chinese imports, get a great a big mallet, smash them to pieces and throw them away as scrap. They are unsafe.

Posting about them being unsafe on a motorbike forum... Rolling Eyes

Me and biohazard bought one off ebay that he then broke. Was fun while we had it. If you live in a town, they are no use so sell it or make some sort of giant overpowered device that would normally be electric.

Are they pitbikes or minimotos?

Normally irked by people suggesting such, but stick some pics up so we've got an idea of exactly what you've got.

Minimotos lol

Pretty sure they are honda's aswell...Gonna look through my ancient ebay history to find out wtf they are

Nope, seller has gone and the auction is too old to look at

Nearly certain it's a honda though...
Yeah you're probably right, end up just leaving it to die in the garage

Wouldnt mind sorting it out so it starts well at least
I know theyre illegal to ride pretty much anywhere, and dodgy as fuck to also, that was the joy :-j

Dunno, honda pull start 2 stroke is all I know about it Neutral

Honda seems very unlikely.
Maybe they were made with some sort of Honda replica paintwork.

As I say, get some pictures up and people should be able to give a better answer Thumbs Up.

No, no they're not hondas. They don't make mini moto's. And if they did, they would be paying a good few hundred i would imagine!

It'll just be replica stickers.

Yours is chinese, Mine is Italian.

It's like comparing a Jinlun with a Ducati.

Except blata used to be the 'Chinese bike' of the minimoto world until they made the B1 Smile.

Need to fix my polini (just a 6.2AC) and go play, as it doesn't seem as bad on my dodgy wrists as other forms of motorsport.

Still, at the end of the day you're going to be looking like a bit of a pleb on a mini motorbike. Razz It's half the fun though I guess. I never raced my mini moto on a proper track. I wish I had now (too young to drive at the time). Maybe If I ever get a car again.... Laughing

Mines a pile of shit and barely starts and cuts out at random
I wasn't objecting that, of course yours is a proper one Wink

I would hope so at that price anyway, plenty more than my 125 Laughing

Wouldn't mind working on it somehow and getting it running smooth Thumbs Up

You should be running it 50:1 (When running in 25:1 )

So a 5 litre petrol can will have 100ml of oil in it.

NEVER tip the 100ml of oil directly into your petrol tank as it'll sink to the bottom unless your willing to give your bike a very vigorous shake and shrow it around. Much easier to mix it in the can Thumbs Up

I'm 6'1 and 33 years old, ridden my mini moto around a few tracks, loved Hullavington (indoor hanger) You'll find plenty of adults do it (probably more than kids Laughing )

I probably do look a tit on it, then again, I look a tit on my road legal pit bike..... Then again, I look a tit on my GSXR 1000 too Laughing

There is no set mixture for every 2 stroke engine. Some run at 10:1, some at over 100:1
