Yep, following on from my thread about removing the NSR fuel tank (thanks lads who answered Thumbs Up), I'm wondering, how on earth do I remove the fairing panels from around the headlight assembly. The diagram (borrowed from Kr0n's site and coloured in because I was bored) shows the panels I mean. I'm currently worried about the two side panels and the one between the headlights.

Any ideas how I get them off and back on again please?

All help appreciated hugely Smile.

Okey dokey... These fairings should be attached as one unit. First remove your side fairings (or the upper two fairing screws on each side). Then unbolt your mirrors, and then unbolt where the farings meet the fairing hangers on the frame. The 'unit' should then come off with the headlight attached (remember to unplug the headlight loom from the main loom using the multiplug that can be found on the right side of the subframe thingy). Then unscrew the headlight, and then (if you want) you should be able to unscrew the individual panels from each other... Umm is quite hard to explain, but basically just unbolt it all Wink Thumbs Up Hope this helps, give us a shout if you have any difficulty...

it's not necessary to take the side low parts . take off mirors , then the 3 upper bolts on each side , then pull slowly the whole bit and when you've got enough room to pass your hands , unbolt the speedometer cable , and finally undo all connectors attached with it . tools : big screwdriver , 8 spanner , universal pliers . mind the connectors , if my remains are good they have a lock system

agreed mate, but you still need to undo the screws that attach the lower fairings to the upper fairings.
