... Doesn't everyone get on the bike with the stand still down Question

Riding off with it down, that's a fail.

Just to clarify. When you do your test DO NOT put it on the center stand. Use the side stand. It will make the getting the bike off the stand much easier.

Good luck with the test. Dont forget your Obs and Lifesavers. Thumbs Up

The examiner will remember everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. I guarantee you he will be able to dissect every last centimetre of your ride under test. As should any instructor. Not that you need to worry. Remember your lifesavers, remember to cancel indicators. Simple. I take it you've had lessons/doing DAS? Have you had some practice tests with an instructor?

When I done my mod 2 every time he stopped me at the side of the road he was marking something down...

When I read one of the comments about it being on the stand I just had visions of someone doing everything right, doing the final checks going to pull off and the bike still being on the centre stand Confused

I was tought to take the bike off the stand and then get on the bike be it side or centre stand.

Like others have said, use the side stand on the day, its much easier and less of a chance you can drop the bike!

Oh and when you get to the test centre park the bike facing the direction you want to go when you leave..ie back it into the parking space that way you don't give your self another task to do...remember you already wheeled the bike backwards on the mod1.

Good luck and remember to keep calm and do more observation than you think you need to.

Even if you dont check your mirrors, tilt your head to both sides like you are! And do it religiously! Every 15 seconds or so Wink

I think it would be frowned upon if you sat on the bike with the stand down... the stand is supposed to take the weight of the bike, not bike and rider, I just got on the bike, leveled it and kicked up the stand without even thinking of it.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before to others, but if you go from a 30mph zone to 60mph... get up to speed as quickly as safe to do so, give it a handful but make sure the front wheel doesn't come up kind of thing.

I had my 600 insured on my provisional for lessons (it was amazing how many times the bloody L plates fell off though), as long as you have some way of communicating with your *ahem* "instructor" then you can get as much practice as you like.

Good luck with the test though

Dont worry about the minors, a pass is a pass regardless of how ugly it is.

Congrats. Thumbs Up

6 minors and you can pass?

Can you pass with 999999 minors but not a single major or something?

What gets counted as a minor/major? Ranging from ramming a brick wall and forgetting to wipe your arse in the morning Question

I think it's up to 15, and three minors of the same type constitute a serious fault.
