Hi people,

does anyone have an idea of an exhaust that will fit a KH100 Kawasaki?

I was wondering if something like a CG125 exhaust will fit with a small amount of modification.

The ones on fleabay are worse than the one off the bike, I've had mine off and had a good look at it, there is nothing special about it, no expansion chamber etc, so there is no reason a 4t exhaust shouldn't do the trick.

Yes there is. The expansion chamber will be internal to the exhaust. I used to have a KE100 which is virtually the same bike, and it definitely had an internal shape that worked as an expansion chamber.

DO NOT graft on an exhaust from a four stroke. You'll just ruin the bike.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

If you want something that works better than std, then a custom made 2stroke expansion chamber would be the way to go. Even if the dimensions were based on something like a KX100, it would still give the KH a fair bit more top end poke. Matching the pipe volume to the cylinder capacity is the No.1 factor in getting something else to work. Then you'd look at matching the pipe cone shapes and lengths to get the power to the correct rpm range, probably around 8500-10000rpm on a KH100.

Whats wrong with your original exhaust ?

If the ones on eBay are worse than yours then why not just give yours a good clean up, decoke, and if leaking then get it welded up?

As marjay says, there is a tuned region in the can.

The pipe as fitted to the kh100 is configured to help the bike have a wider powerband than it would with a more aggressive expansion chamber.

Fitting a simple 4 banger pipe will kill the motor.
