Best Motorbike For Wheeling ?? CHEAP !!

I want to learn to wheelie motorbikes..
(Yes it may be a stupid idea, but its something I want to learn).

So having said that.. What would be the best "sports" type bike for wheeling ?? Im look for cheap ideas, as no doubt im going to drop it the first 500 times I attempt it..

So what bike.

Or... supermoto type bikes, or 1 litre engines

I learned to wheelie on dirt bikes, its the easiest and cheapest way (repairs cost a few quid less than a fully faired road bike).

the best road bike I had for wheelies was without doubt my KTM 625, it was awesome for lifting the front, and was cheapish for bits.. until you are reasonably good at them i wouldn't recommend using a sports bike or practise, it's a really expensive way to learn!

That should easily power wheelie if you whack open the throttle in 1st or 2nd.

If not, just get the revs higher than usual when pulling away and drop the clutch nice and fast (just don't dump it).

I started power wheelies on the CRF, one of the easiest bikes ive ever wheelied, I would say get a SM or an off roader as if u fall which you will do wont do much damage or if you do damage the bike will be a quick cheap fix,

Minimotos are one of the hardest bikes to wheelies thanks to their incredibly short wheel base.

This is something I've been after for a while. Had the front of the CBR up a few times on the power in first. Was very controllable if you started from just a little bit, to gradually more and more. Gives you experience of having the front going light.

Really tempted now I've crashed it to turn it into a stunt bike but not sure.

Never tried clutching it up though.

I'd say go for it, get something cheap and old you don't care about. Crash damaged or whatever and go from there.

Fall off it as much as you like and it wont cost more than £50 to put right! Those things try and lift all the way through the gears

Minimoto's are BAD for wheelies...throttle off, pull the front up, throttle on and straight off the back. Nothing nothing nothing, over the back. No balance.
