Hi folks,
I'm looking for a camera... not to mount on my helmet... But to my head; I'm doing a sporting event which involves - amongst other things - jumping into rivers and climbing through mud. I would like to film the event by strapping a camera to myself, and the only place I can really think would be feasible would be my head.
I want decent quality footage, something that is easily watchable and if possible (not likely at my budget) HD.
I want to spend as little as possible but would pay up to maximum of £100. Even then, I'm not too keen in spending that much in case I loose it!
I would appreciate any recommendations and sample videos if you have any!
Thanks ____________________ My Project - Honda CBR 600 F2/FM |

I can't think of any at that price wihich will be amazing quality and waterproof to the point it's guaranteed to not get ruined as soon as it sees some rain.
If you can, I would suggest putting off buying it and saving to buy a second hand GoPro or something. They are fantastic quality, you can get a head mount almost like a miner's head torch AND they are GENUINELY waterproof inside their case with the waterproof door thingy on.
You can see the head mount on this website and another similar mount but chest mounted if you check out this website.
I know they are expensive, but it's better to save up for a while and get one of the best action-style cameras out there on the market than spend £100 on some crappy camera that will break after two rainy days and give you footage like it was recorded with a calculator.
My two pennies, cheers! ! ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

I use a HD Bullet Cam, which has a number of mounting options, and claims to be OK for 10m deep...

I've never been underwater with it, but used it a number of times on the bike in some pretty horrendous downpours, and it's never leaked one drop.
However, I guess the video/picture quality is not as high quality video as GoPro or similar, but then the BulletCam is not at the GoPro price level either ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N
