Hi all

Had to change the front sprocket cover on a gsx750f which involved removing the clutch release mechanism-worm screw thing to install it on the inside of the new cover. Having removed it, all the little ball bearings just fell out of it. What a bastard...any ideas why this should happen? It was all nicely greased by the looks.

Anyway, i have ordered a new one and just wondered if it comes ready adjusted or will it need some adjusting to get it to move the pushrod properly? I dont wanna muck about with it too much incase all those little ball bearing fuckers fall out again!

I'll find out in due course when i come to install it but just wanted to be prepared. Thanks!

Fitted one recently as mine did the same.

Put it in its little hole after giving it a nice dose of grease. You'll need to adjust it correctly so it pushes on the rod at the correct time, otherwise you'll get what I got, slipping clutch Laughing

Thanks for that. So do you mean adjust it once the cover is fitted (by removing the rubber bung and adjusting the screw) or is there a way you can get it just right before installing the cover?

Once its all together and you have got the cable set to no adjustment on your clutch lever, then whip the rubber off and adjust.
