Okay then, anybody have any idea why 50% of the time I have problems reaching the home page of this site. Is it just me or does everyone often get the 'This page cannot be displayed' error message. Any thoughts or ideas anyone?

I'm on the 'shitty wannado rip off one', broadband that is, I must admit I don't understand why it is 'shitty' and a 'rip off' but thats not we are here to discuss. I have not tried resetting my connection, but it is ONLY the BCF page that won't load. I can access any other site I want, but for some reason the BCF is out of bounds. Next time I will try resetting it and see if it helps.

I have the same, via a reseller of "Bulldog ADSL". I have to use a proxy just to get here.

My brother-in-law has the same issues.
He cannot see BCF at all !!, he is on the original Freeserve broadband.

He also has a few problems with other sites as well, just not finding the page.

He is going to be contacting freeserve about it, I'l keep you updated (or hopefully he will be able to, once he can get on!!)

www.bikechatforums.com

Netblock belongs to "Everyones internet inc" USA, seem to take their main net feed from above.net.

Now thats strange as pretty much everyone here in the UK has near or direct linkage with above.net, they are a big carrier.

Why is this board hosted in the states?

Presumably because the cost of the server BCF is on is better value than hosting it in the UK or anywhere else.

I had another problem getting this site to load up earlier, and so I tried disconnecting and reconnecting. Guess what, it actually worked. Whether it was a fluke or not I don't know but we shall see.
