cam chain tensioner like the cbr's, reg/rec like most honda, don't know about anymore, just note they have budget suspension as standard and are bouncier than a toddler on a micheal jacksons lap

I cant really build much on what Drake has already said.
The only other thing I'd say is my frame seems to be showing a fair amount of surface rust and the front end has never felt quite planted for me - I've read its something to do with the odd sized front tyre - Which by the way are hard to source.

Fun little bikes though

It's all been said pretty much. The early ones have 16" front wheel, many people change to a 17" as they say it improves stability. Mine came with a 16" front and a steering damper.

Good laugh, shit tank range. All in all, great little bike.

Yeah the tank range is around 120 to reserve so not the best but equally not the worst (In comparison to 125's).

Lovely bike, great handling as its small and light so flickable, addictive sound comes from the airbox.

common faults, its a HONDA

But, Like mentioned, CCT and reg/rec, not Hornet specific, more Jap specific (no-ones perfect )
They do generally have a noisy clutch when its released in neutral, bit grindy/noisy, so don't worry about that.

As for buying one, well done , you'll have a HOON of a time. Way underrated bikes IMO, should be given way more credit than they get.

Once I get my bike back from the garage, we can!

I've been looking to upgrade to a 17" front wheel too. From what I can gather you need the wheel itself and the brake discs, as the 16" have smaller discs. Other than that, everything else is interchangeable.

I think I'm picking it up tonight. A red one.

It has gash twin lights on it and needs fork seals. I've bought fork seals and dust seals, some fork oil, and just about to get a standard 7" Round headlight.

I'm also going to replace the red renthals with a set of black ultra lows I have.



Does anyone want a set of R&G bungs, a black bellypan, or a zx9r?

I also have been looking at hornets as a cheaper all rounder for summer. Seems to be nowt wrong with them.

Well mines a 'sorted' C1, about £1800 i think.

It's just had £500 odd spent on it. Brand new tyres, refurbed 4 pots, braided lines, powdercoated wheels, Z1000 gearbox, zx12r shock etc.

Think it's done about 15k.
