Its either a bad earth connection, poor wiring/connection or just low power output from the battery - does the flicker go away when you rev up? if not try looking at the seating of the headlight bulb? might be dodgy?

On earlier models there is a switch normally above the starter button (i think) but on newer bikes (not sure which year) the lights have to be permanently on.

Must be really old, I have a 10 year old speedy with permanent lights. I thought speedfight 2 was released around 2004?

definatly sounds like an earth problem, there should be a black wire bolted to a metal part of the bike somwhere probably the frame, unbolt it, rub it down with some emery cloth and a bit of oil, clean it up and put it back, and do the same to terminals on battery, light switches, and bulb holders

I can only turn them on/off because I disconnected the normal beam lights because i didn't want them flickering and people thinking im flashing them at a junction and they pull out on me and yh when i rev high they still flicker. but when the normal lights were connected still flickered
