Hi folks,
Have recently discovered that I have a fairly steady drip-drip-drip of fuel from what possibly is an overflow/drain pipe from the bottom of the carb (indicated with red arrow on attached photo). This is my first bike, so I have no real idea. The carb is a Deni PZ26. Should I be worried or should I just, for instance, tighten that screw above the arrow?
Don't really have the cash for a professional to look and/or fix, so any advice appreciated.
Cheers,
Stuart.

That screw is to drain the float bowl. I would loosen it (too see how tight it is) and then screw it back in it so it's reasonably tight (with a screwdriver).

If that doesnt solve it, remove the screw, then remove the float bowl and check that there is no dirt stopping the screw from creating a good seal, also repalce any possible o rings on the screw if needed.

Thanks at106. There was a little room for tightening. With any luck that'll be it.
Cheers.

Bugger. That didn't fix it Sad
Fuel now pisses out when I stop the engine until I turn the fuel tap off, and the guy in the shop (it's still under warranty, but I can't afford the time it usually takes for his garage to do the work) says it's the carb, something broken inside, needs replacement. It'll get done for free next tuesday, but still, arse.
Anybody know if this is the carb from the original Honda design, or a crappy chinese replacement?

the fuel drain outlet usually double up as an overflow, so check the float needle isn't worn or that the floats are punctured.

Float might just be stuck, whip the float bowl off and have a look, see that the pin which the float pivots on is there and that the float pivots on it easily.

It is under warranty so use it. It may take a couple of days but leaking fuel could kill you in a fire ( I happily spilt methanol over my hot exhaust today but I am an idiot Mr. Green 0) also if the fuel is high in the float chamber you will be running rich and this will soot up your motor.

Rather than taking the bowl off... give it a couple of taps with the handle of a hammer first and see if that sorts it.... then follow the above advice

Thanks for your advice folks.
It's gone to the shop for warranty repair. I'll just have to do without for a few days.
