Fit is the first thing you should look for in helmet.

the best sharp result for a helmet in your price range is the nitro akido helmet as seen here
https://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testsratings/nitro-aikido
a quick google search throws up several people selling for under £80.
a good one to check the fit on i would say |

You want a nice snug fit.
Regardless of price, it has to fit properly.
My lid cost £10 and fits fantastically. My £90 also fits very well.
I wear the cheaper one more |

Wear it around the shop for as long as you can, make sure that it fits properly. Just bag the cheapest one that fits well, unless you're particularly bothered about how much it exceeds the required safety standard.
I can't fault my Marushin Tiger for the price: not too heavy, 5 star SHARP rating, noise is OK, no particular reason not to get one. The only downside is that I couldn't find cheap visors for it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Fit, and more fit.
After fit, money can buy better features, visor systems, air flow, shell sizes, fabric quality ect ect ect.

One that fits your head perfectly is THE best lid.
The best time to try one on, is in a shop -with guidance of someone who knows their stuff...and to keep it on your head for a while. It's preferable that you allow yourself to get hot whilst wearing one... because you don't want to get the wrong size (i.e. too small, or it will hurt and bother you whilst riding!!!) ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

Heads and helmets are all different shapes too, so try out different brands.
The guys in J&S should tell you this, but with it on and fastened, try and rotate it around on your head, both side to side and from the back to the front. If it moves, or rolls off your head, it's not a good fit. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
