I passed my theory not long ago. I think you've pretty much got it spot on really. Only hard question was braking distances. Apart from that if you have a basic knowledge of road signs and general conduct on the road you'll be fine Make sure you don't click loads on the hazard perception too. I got disqualified from one clip because I clicked so much. If anyone ahead indicated to change lanes I clicked, it there was a change in speed limit I clicked. They told me to highlight anything I saw as a potential hazard that would potentially make me take action and when I did they had a problem with it. Clearly the only hazard in their books is a massive lorry pulling out in front of you- I don't think they do subtlety.

Only other figure I remember memorising is minimum tread depth, 1mm for central 3/4 of the tyre & outer circumference. I got this wrong in the mocks, I answered 1.6mm but 1.6mm is for a car.
The most annoying questions are those which the correct answer is arguable. E.g. why are diagonal yellow lines painted across the road?
1) To make you aware of your speed (correct)
2) To tell you about the distance to the roundabout
They are there to warn you of your speed at approach to a hazard, but when you see them, it's also a really good indication that you're not far away from a roundabout.

My theory test questions were stupidly easy... One of the questions was -
"You are on a motorway, the road ahead of you is clear - what lane should you be in?"
One of the answers was "All of them"
I nearly fell off of the chair in laughter. ____________________ CBT Passed - 22 / 10 / 11 >> Theory Passed - 16 / 02 / 2012 >> Mod 1 Passed - 07 / 03 / 2012 >> Mod 2 Passed - 18 / 05 / 2012. |

Slightly off topic but what about the hazard perception part?
I ask as my lad will be taking his very soon. The mock examples I've found for him online I've found quite hard. One refused to give me a score saying I cheated. I guess that is because I kept clicking on potential hazard rather than a developing hazard.
So any pointers to good online hazard perception or any tips on these welcome ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...
