Tell us some more info. Not happening, as in, you don't know what to do, or you can't do it, or it makes no difference?

Did you try just at the bar end, or both?

Do it properly. If the clutch is got released you don't need new plates.

Hold on, quick point do you mean the bike pulls you forward with the clutch in or when the wheel is off the ground it turns?

Wet clutch = viscous coupling = wheel will turn while the bike's up on its stand.

If you can stop it easily enough with your hand, then there's no problem.

You need to set/check the clutch pushrod first. Slacken the cable at both ends. Where the cable goes into a side engine case you will find the locknut/screw for the pushrod. You may have to remove the cover, you may have a large rubber bung covering it. Undo the locknut and back it off a few turns. With a screwdriver turn the slotted head adjuster until it lightly seats. Now back it off a quarter of a turn. Hold it in this position and tighten the lock nut. Finally adjust the cable to give you the correct freeplay (around 5mm at the lever). This is a general guide, you have got a workshop manual ? From you sig at the bottom I take it we are talking about a cd200? I doubt its clutch plates or springs as these are plod to work type bikes and p/o generally dont slip clutches and hoik wheelies Smile
