Hi
Has the mechanism correctly "caught". From memory with the Divvy the mechanism on the clutch cover works on a rack and pinion setup to pull a top hat shaped part on the clutch release bearing. Trouble is this is a bit of a pain to get hooked on (not that difficult, just mildly tricky if you don't realise what it is doing). However I would expect this to leave the clutch lever fairly loose.
However the Divvy thrust bearing can also be quite short lived. When these go you can land up with the gearbox stopping rapidly when you pull the clutch. Possibly caused by people following the Haynes manual (it tells you to lube the thrust bearing with oil, while the Yamaha manual says to use moly grease)
All the best

Yes it'll move a bit, but it should have a flat washer and a flat thrust bearing under it. If these are missing it won't disengage. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

had this problem loads!
put it on centre stand and start it up
put it in 1st gear
Make sure back wheels off the floor!
give it some revs then stomp reasonably hard on the rear break
should losen it up near instantly. ____________________ GOOD GAME BODYGUARD: https://i.imgur.com/8WePGgf.jpg
