Posted: 15:52 - 07 Jun 2012 Post subject: Yamaha Fazer Project Bike Valuation |
 |
|
Long story short, someone ripped me off for a considerable amount of money, in the end he got kicked out of his unit and I had permission to clear it. I have ended up with this bike as well as a CB250 project.
Any ideas what this could be worth on eBay? It's a 2000 model Yamaha Fazer FZR 600. I'm just waiting for the V5 to come through to get it listed. One has just sold with no bodywork and possibly in worse condition for £450 but couldn't see any other Fazer project bikes at the time.
It was running when taken apart so I believe it's still a working bike (although no guarantees lol) it needs a damn good clean up and polish, most of the consumables need replacing (tyres, chain etc) and the bodywork needs spraying (as you can see it is in primer) some engine casings have been removed and primered ready for painting and have been placed back on temporarily for pics.
It appears to be complete with exception of down pipes but I'm not 100% sure. I have cable tied random bits on so it looks like a bike for purpose of ebaying
Any rough valuations?? I seriously don't have time or inclination for a project bike.

Just a note that auctioning a bike on eBay is a bit of a gamble. Especially a project bike, because no matter how big you write PROJECT BIKE NON RUNNER you can be sure that the highest bidder will be some pissed up 0 feedback mong who at best will scream like a banshee that it's not as advertised.
I'd suggest Gumtree or an eBay classified ad, essentially say "Here's most of a bike, first one to put actual money in my hand trailers it away, no test pilots because it's a non runner derp derp derp" ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

First off its and FZS600, not an FZR, so that might want to go into your ad
If the plastics are in decent nick I'd be breaking it. Blue spots typically run to 70-80 on ebay on their own. Rears probably about 30 if its in good nick.
Lot more hassle, but I'd say you've easily got a 500 pile of parts there. ____________________ YBR 125>FZS600 |
