Long story short, someone ripped me off for a considerable amount of money, in the end he got kicked out of his unit and I had permission to clear it. I have ended up with this bike as well as a CB250 project.

Any ideas what this could be worth on eBay? It's a 2000 model Yamaha Fazer FZR 600. I'm just waiting for the V5 to come through to get it listed. One has just sold with no bodywork and possibly in worse condition for £450 but couldn't see any other Fazer project bikes at the time.

It was running when taken apart so I believe it's still a working bike (although no guarantees lol) it needs a damn good clean up and polish, most of the consumables need replacing (tyres, chain etc) and the bodywork needs spraying (as you can see it is in primer) some engine casings have been removed and primered ready for painting and have been placed back on temporarily for pics.

It appears to be complete with exception of down pipes but I'm not 100% sure. I have cable tied random bits on so it looks like a bike for purpose of ebaying Laughing

Any rough valuations?? I seriously don't have time or inclination for a project bike.

Start it at £600 and anything you get above that is probably a bonus I reckon.

Oh yeah, and the forks look like they are on backwards...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Laughing you're right... I didn't actually notice before Laughing I put them on but they are just temporarily in as when I picked it up it had no front end on it. I can't be arsed to take wheel off and spin them round so it'll have to do as is Laughing

And £600 is more than I was expecting so would be good if it sells for that sort of money.

Personally I would offer much less than £600 simply because you cannot prove that the bike will run.

There needs to be a "Good Spot" rating on this forum.

Just a note that auctioning a bike on eBay is a bit of a gamble. Especially a project bike, because no matter how big you write PROJECT BIKE NON RUNNER you can be sure that the highest bidder will be some pissed up 0 feedback mong who at best will scream like a banshee that it's not as advertised.

I'd suggest Gumtree or an eBay classified ad, essentially say "Here's most of a bike, first one to put actual money in my hand trailers it away, no test pilots because it's a non runner derp derp derp"

yeah exactly ^^ It's a non runner until you can prove otherwise really. So like 400-500 at most.

I would be surprised if you got £600 for it to be honest.
I would probably pay no more than £400, seeing as its not known if it runs, the downpipes are missing and it needs a lot of new parts anyway.

If it were mine i would look at listing it as is starting at £400, or look at breaking it.

Yeah, like I say no guarantees, I'm almost certain it's a fine runner but it will be sold as a potential non-runner and sold as seen, I wasn't really expecting £600 so I think I'll put it on for £400 and let the eBayers decide the price. Will be happy with £400 but even happier with more Cool

£450 sounds about right I reckon. Working fazers aren't that expensive anyway.

I personally wouldn't pay more than about £300 for that, but I'd bang it on Gumtree as a non-runner for £450 and see what happens.

As Roger said, eBay is full of mongs that will try and stitch you up at the drop of a hat.

First off its and FZS600, not an FZR, so that might want to go into your ad Wink

If the plastics are in decent nick I'd be breaking it. Blue spots typically run to 70-80 on ebay on their own. Rears probably about 30 if its in good nick.

Lot more hassle, but I'd say you've easily got a 500 pile of parts there.

I bought one that looked better and had an MOT for 700.

That looks like a dog so I'd say 350-400 if it doesn't run, 500 if it does.
