no spark on my cg125

bike was running great up untill a wire had dried out on the ignition barrel black/white wire had came of, so i got a new barrel put that on and since then i have no spark.

ignition wires are in the right way my old ignition was on, on my old ignition barrel there was a black wire that was snipped of and never been used, and everything was working right with out that wire.

when the ignition is off i have a negative feed from the coil but when ignition is on i have no feed.

from either side of the points i have 2 negatives.

im just a bit confused why there is a negative feed from the coil,

any advice would be great many thanks

check the ignition switch, its quite likely to be the culprit as it has to be coming from that end.

Are the wires connected up properly and to the correct colours?

oh and the negative feed is what kills the spark when you turn off. That how they work, there is no negative feed when running/on position

i am now getting a negative feed from the coil pack weather the ignition is off or on, ignition is working correctly when turning it on it cuts the negative feed from the coil. so the coil is getting a negative feed from some where else any ideas ??

cheers

your getting a negative feed somewhere which is grounding to the frame where it shouldn't

disconnect the switch wire one by one and kick start it and see what happens.

Yes the ignition switch on these are a crap design by the way.....
