cylinder flooding

got bike back from garage and have messed with it,

the carb is letting too much fuel into cylinder and not starting wetting plug is this an easy fix

they also removed fuel filter and scratched exhaust and left fuel hose bung off letting rain in to side casing and carburretor.

Found the cause of the kawks running problems before this, crank seals have gone.

don't trust them, enough damage as it is and had to get RAC break down to take me home.

to adjust it will there be an adjuster screw for the mixture setting.

On the carb where the throttle cable it attatched there should be a screw where you can adjust the amount of fuel that goes into the engine.

Here is an eBay link to a Haynes manual

Normally you can adjust the screw until it nearly cuts out, then adjust it until it "sounds right", typically around 1,500-2000 RPM

I got a manuel but has disappered in the house some where.

is there a different screw for mixture and then idle

Mixture would be your choke...i.e. choke on for more fuel (only for cold starts) and off for normal.

The throttle cable is attachted to your idle screw.

Check whether it is oil or fuel wetting the plug.

If it is definitely petrol, there are a few things to check:
The choke cable and piston are in good nick and move freely
The adjustment of the float and condition of the float needle
Condition of the various gaskets around the carburettor
Condition of the idle circuit and that the idle screw isn't badgered
Air filter is clean and in good condition

If it is over oiled you will need to check the adjustment of the oil pump. I've not seen the guts of a two stroke in many years, someone on here will be able to help with this I'm sure.

is fuel wetting plug, found manuel now so should be easier.

carb was fine before that bleeding pikey started faffing with it,
might be just mixture setting sorted.

ok thanks for that I will see how I go tomorrow and try and not get to mad at it, once that and crank seals and bearings done it will be a nice little bike.
