The standard 7/8ths renthals should fit your ER5 quite nicely. ____________________ Willson - "If you go out on that CBR600 in the winter, you're going to do more miles on your side than on your wheels."

Hi everyone,
firstly, thanks for the swift replies but it seems I have located a pair for free
My mates dad has an old ER5 and is giving me the bars. I have been fortunate but this site has been very helpful. Never underestimate the power of the tinterweb!
Thanks again ____________________ I'm new to this and I'm genuinely interested in bikes of all kinds (especially old ones). |

Bent it back with a length of scaffold tubing.

Ah yes,
I had already considered that but where the bend is, the bars have gone fat and flattened out slightly. My main concern is the guy at the test centre being able to spot that I have not actually replaced them and still failing me.
I applaud your enginuity though, a man after my own heart ____________________ I'm new to this and I'm genuinely interested in bikes of all kinds (especially old ones). |
