You will have a tough job convincing the DVLA that the frame is legit and not something that has been replaced

And, I'm afraid; do you have any evidence that it wasn't just stolen?

That's what it's sounding like without any documentation.

Too true, you're shagged dude you've got no chance of registering it. The only real way now would be to find a "legit" frame and build everything you've got onto that otherwise you've just got a pile of spares.

This URL , a PDF document, shows information about registering vehicles with no VIN numbers. You will have to go to your local DVLA office and have it inspected, and show receipts of all parts you buy for it to prove you didn't just nick it. The DVLA will not register it without it being stamped with a VIN.

Again, with no documentation, you're going to have a hard time, but I'm sure it's not impossible

I can be done, but time wise and money wise and hassle factor and i would not be surprised if it was issued with a Q plate at the end which some insurers do not like,

you are best off getting a frame with V5, life will be alot easier Smile

Sand it back slightly - it should leave the numbers standing out...

Have you told the Police about this policy as they don't seem to be following it?
