 |
|
I was in the garage doing some work on the bike the other day and was pondering over a cigarette about the fact I don’t keep anything of any use in my car. I keep the jump leads in the garage, there’s a triangle and hi-viz jacket, some spark plugs that I kept when i installed some new ones.
It made me think that’s a bit daft, so what, if anything, do you guys keep in your car, just in case? ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

Ok, this is useful information.
Where and how do you keep these items? I imagine in the boot but do you use a small box or bag or something? ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

This is all interesting stuff. I have nothing of mechanical use in my car on the grounds that i know nothing about them and am only likely to make things worse by taking a wild and utterly uneducated guess before lunging at it with tools. I'm in green flag and keep my mobile on me like a proper bint, but that's it
Everything else in the car is useful outside of fixing it so bin bags and shopping basket (took a seagull to the bird hospital with them on tuesday), wellies, pac-a-macs, Himself's kite and football, wet-wipes, sun-cream, bottles of drink, map, lighter, parking change, pen and paper, gaffer tape (it's the law!) and a hammer (just cos there aren't many things that can't be improved with a good whack )
Footpumps have appeared a few times, am i missing something? Is the spare tyre uninflated as standard and you need a pump it up to use it? (i've had the car since september and this is only now occurring to me ) ____________________ smile and be happy. . . .it gets right on everyone's tits! |

When I go to Tesco to do The Big Shop, I leave the heavy stuff like dog or cat biscuits in the boot, as well as the 12-roll loopaper, till I get round to needing to bring them in, cos I've got a dodgy arm at the moment.
A few weeks ago I left a couple of big bags of carrots, spuds and onions in there, but accidentally forgot about them, only to remember two (hot summer) days later, when they were all sweaty, smelly and slimy.
Apart from that, I have fairly standard stuff: foot pump, jump leads, bungys, a blanket, several bottles of water and a bowl for the dog.
Oh, and about ten kilos of dog hair under the back seat ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

oh, the sticky farty accidents. Yes, for them too. Mine came out of school yesterday in half pe kit and half school uniform. There was one shoe sticking out of his backpack and another rammed in his book bag. He had a crust on his face made of snot and wotsit dust and had not only stepped in dogshit but managed to rub it up the other (non-shitty-shoe) leg so it was in his sock and all up his shin. In his school bag were some daisies he'd picked for me when they were doing sports day practice. . . . .over two weeks ago
I have to carry wet wipes to make up for the fact that social services would get all shitty if i made him sit on a tarp in a trailer being pulled a hygienic distance behind the car. ____________________ smile and be happy. . . .it gets right on everyone's tits!
