The quality ones like Primus and Dragonfly are hideously expensive but Coleman do a dual fuel for about £70

Any reason you want petrol? If you want lightweight then I used a Pocket Rocket stove on a small 100g cartridge for years in the Military. ____________________ stinkwheel: He had an animated .gif of a cat performing fellatio. Based on what I use the old fashioned Trangia does the job.
Can be argued a little bulky but you have all your pans in that bundle.
Uses meths although you can get gas kits for some.
They also do multi-fuel (inc. petrol) but I think that's for extreme (sub-zero, high altitude, etc.). Plus it's expensive.

The coleman dual fuel ones are good and run on petrol but they are a bit bulky.
I have a Borde Bomb petrol stove which is very efficient and compact BUT it's a bit of a specialist piece of kit and they are VERY difficult to come by. I eventually got mine from a specialist walking shop in Germany after having wanted one for a few years. They are over £100 and there's a bit of a knack to using them but I successfully cooked on one for my whole 3 month tour of Britain a few years back.

I've got a mini trangia, less bulky, cost about £20 from Amazon. |

If you're camping in the kitchen, you may as well just use the cooker in the background.

Meths, filled up to just below the first set of holes.
Actually, that was a bit stupid of me to say that, as I couldn't really fill it to above the holes ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

I had a fab little thing about the size of a pot of moisturiser that must have been one of those. My mother bought a house that had tonnes of junk in it and it was in an old-ish army kit bag in the attic. I yoinked it for camping but used to take it with me for for cups of tea in nice places when out on long rides. I haven't seen it since about two house moves ago ____________________ smile and be happy. . . .it gets right on everyone's tits! |

How safe are these petrol stoves?
I've got a coleman dual fuel but have used it very little as can see me and the stove ending up in a fiery inferno and it scares the crap out of me. ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse? ooo i like that. Very un-wobbly looking. It's a necessity now to be able to walk off and leave the pan unattended while i am in goal/rescuing Action Man from the nettles/combing the grass for lost lego. That one looks good. Nice and little to keep in the car for lunch on the beach in the winter too
hahaha! I did think i'd turned into my dad (grumpy camper) when we went camping this time. I shouldn't minge really, we've been on pubic transport for years so no camping at all, but it was a bit of a culture shock to do 'stuff and people' camping ____________________ smile and be happy. . . .it gets right on everyone's tits! |

Haha! I'm attempting (but failing) to phase it out of my vocabulary as our 'colourful' neighbour is known as Bloody Minge Arse Upstairs and i was caught out when Tiny Cornish used the phrase at school. ooopsie
I think the tent pegs is a testosterone thing. Men who spend all year in an office get outside on their holiday and feel the need to clump the crap out of things and burn stuff in order to assert themselves in front of nature ____________________ smile and be happy. . . .it gets right on everyone's tits! |
