I suspect it will vary abit from rider to rider, but general process is the same though.
Mine is the same as MILF Parv I was always taught
• Mirror - Mirror ( first mirror check to on the direction of turn )
• Signal
• Lifesaver
• Manouver
While we have a thread like this open.
If I've completed a turn, for example moved into a side road, do I need to complete another lifesaver now I'm traveling on the new road?
I normally do lifesavers before moving into position (roundabout / junction) and another before leaving the exit / junction.
Is this Test ready?
Thanks |

on exiting a roundabout i left LS. then as i continue into the road i always right LS incase some egit is trying to overtake me into the exit...... i do a second right LS as im turning right, the amount of egits (normally women in 4x4's) who cut the corners
M, S, L , M, L
tends to be my process... theres no such thing as a wasted lifesaver.
i always keep an eye on my mirrors. and rarely have to Lifesaver during riding down a road (except position change )
always be prepared for an egit not looking - today somebody in a 07 golf mirrors folded in started pulling into my lane on DC as i passed... horn and he was like white as if he saw a ghost...
got to the roundabout a few hundred yards up, and i said to him "try popping your mirrors out, and using em pal.... might kill somebody next time!" |

To pull away from side of a road
left mirror
right mirror
shoulder check
then just before you pull into the lane another final shoulder check ____________________ "Nitrous is like a cheap hooker, you want to hit it but are scared of the consequences |

Anyone who has done a CBT should know that the routine is OSMPSL.
Observation - Mirror/s followed by a shoulder check in the direction you are moving into.
Signal
Manoeuvre
Position
Speed
Look - Consider a Lifesaver before committing to move.
If you are on test and you Mirror, signal THEN lifesaver and see the vehicle that was in your blindspot braking heavily you ARE going back for a retest!
OSMPSL is a very simple system to remember and can be used to deal with every hazard with a little bit of thought and adaptation ____________________ www.angliaroadtraining.com

Before the Mod1 the examiner will tell you to treat the MMA (motorcycle manoeuvring area) as if it is the road including all necessary observations.
Thinking logically would you do a lifesaver at each cone?
Of course not!
Before you move off at least have a good look in the mirrors or better still have a glance over each shoulder - easy ____________________ www.angliaroadtraining.com
