My mum (no pictures!!) just got home and said the blower inside her car wont turn off when the key is removed.

I have checked and she is correct. Its a Mercedes E200 02 reg. Anyone know how to turn it off as we dont want the battery to die and what the problem could be?

Thanks!

Have a look at the fuse diagram on the fuse box and pull the fuse for it.

Or behind the glove box, you will need to take it out. As a quick fix disconnect the battery until you find the fuse.

Still need help peoples, Mr Shereen pulled all the relevant fuses out and the blower is still blowing Thumbs Down

Breakdown wont come out until the battery has run flat because it is not classed as a breakdown. But when the battery runs flat the alarm will shit itself and go off.

Short of disconnecting the battery, is there anything else we should be doing?

How about disconnecting the battery, counting to 10 then reconnecting it...and seeing if that does the trick??

Sorry about the duff wiki-leak...I didn't go through it to check. Wink

Had a quick look at the Merc web site and it looks like your regulator/resister for the blower has gone defunked.

I fecking hate the newer cars. I remember when you didnt have to have a degree in mechanical engineering and be a contortionist just to do simple things like changing bulbs. The older cars were so much more owner friendly. I reckon its all down to the EU sneaking in the having to take it to a garage milarky but by stealth.

Hmm... disconnecting the battery will also set the alarm off. Do it in the daylight, then it can go off for an hour or two, without it being illegal. The little watch battery it runs on will go out in an hour or two. Thumbs Up
