Our natural predators are White Vans, peroxide blondes in 4x4s, anything with a flat cap or blue rinse, and lampposts.
Rubber side goes down, subframe should be pre-twisted for your convenience. Enjoy. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

My first solo ride was from near Tower Bridge to Enfield in the evening rush hour
After that baptism of fire everything else seemed easy. ____________________ They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa, hey-hey,

Picked mine up from Chiswick and proceeded to crap myself when I rode under the tube bridge out the back of Sainos and a train rattled over at the same time.
After that it was okay. |

My first ride ever on any bike was on a moped in my backyard (pre-CBT days)...I wound back the throttle and hurtled across the grass and through the flowerbed aiming to the shed...my mother shouted "BRAKE!!"
So I braked, turned and grinned, let go of brake (throttle still wide open) and smacked into the shed... ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

You'll be fine
I remember mine *shudders*
It was 75 miles away in the middle of january.
Got there and the temp was -1c and only got colder. I completely misjudged how cold I would get (i.e and wind chill of -15c). It took me 2.5 hours to get home after multiple trips
I have thawed out enough to laugh about it now. ____________________ Current Bikes: ZX7r 97 (Black Beauty), VFR400 NC24 (The banana)

Dont be nervous and relax. Nothing like the thrill of bringing a new bike home. get pics.
Ride your ride and enjoy. Have your wife take pics as you leave and on the road
This is when I picked up my new 2011 KTM from the dealers last year. 1 km on the clock. lekka.

Be a man. I was like you, only experience of being on the road was a couple hours in my CBT. So you know what I did? Bought a bike 15 miles from Lands End, and rode it over 100 miles home to south Devon. Not only did I have to learn gears from scratch, but the bike needed a new battery and I ended up staying in a bed and breakfast in Redruth before I could get it sorted.
Oh, and the guy I thought was going to lead me home buggered off after I went the wrong way almost immediately .
So yeah, an hour's ride with company will be a breeze! ____________________ Yamaha SR125; Yamaha XJR 400; Suzuki GS500E |

I'd run in my first bike by the time I'd got it home... Home was 15 miles away, and I went the scenic route. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. I remember mine too
It will be a memory you will remember for, well, ever.
I learnt so much, it was epic.
I can remember getting it home and being all exited for the morning.
Sunny saturday morning hell yessss I was out for about 5 hours.. on pretty much the same circuit. Getting used to gears, clutch, indicators, controls, then I started to speed things up really gradually. Took me about 3 days till I full throttled it along the country lane
I can remember thinking.. fuck me it's fast
