I decided to point out some mistakes which I found it almost every day on the roads of London. I hope we all learn something from this:

I guess you get used to it with time. And actually is not that bad for a huge city like London.

No excuse, my fault.
| kernow24 wrote: | why didn't you go around the mini roundabout at 0.44? |
There was nothing coming from my left, front and on the right it suppose to be one way.

But your whole level of riding is rather shocking, its a wonder how
you haven't ended up like the scooter rider |
I don't know either. I've done so far at least 55k miles on 6 different bikes in 8 years and I never had any accident (not even a minor one). I'm not saying that I'm perfect, I'm still learning.
| .Chris. wrote: | The incident with the white Golf was almost entirely avoidable. You can tell from quite a distance that he's thinking of changing lanes, by looking at his positioning |
I did expect that but I just want to make him aware that he should check his mirror and at least indicate. I hate people that are not using indicators and they rush to change lane or direction.
| Bubbs wrote: | You seem to have captured a pretty tame ride out in London. Take yourself to the Vauxhall roundabout at around 5:30-6pm!! Never fails to make me laugh at the craziness. |
I will have Vauxhall in my daily commute again from the end of september. |

yep pretty much a normal day in london traffic.
its full of locals who know their way around and people coming through who ain't got a scoobies and are reading the signs for directions.
chill and relax, london traffic is dangerous enough without spending time marking other peoples faults...
fools will be fools, just avoid em and ride safe... ____________________ Previous bikes: Suzuki GT250A / Yamaha DT125 / NTV Honda 650 // currently Suzuki RF900 |

So, It's 5:42 here and I'm bored, so I checked your video and I must say, you're one of the worst camera on the bike people I've seen.
Q:
At 0:45, aren't you supposed to go left and around the roundabout?
At 2:30, the only moment you should use your horn.
And at 3:15, typical staring person, these moments when you can't stop watching an accident are the most jeopardizing.
BTW, It quite seems like you were speeding there, so don't be so angry, that people don't see you. This riding looked like, you were some sort of accident hunter, do you work for an insurance company or what? ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

It seems that for those who never drove a bike in London will never get the idea of this video. I’m doing at least 15 miles a day in London, Monday to Sunday and when you live in a ‘jungle’ you become part of it. I will not answer any question and I’m really sorry to bother with such a stupid video. For those who has no idea how rides make their way in London, please check this video: https://youtu.be/RC3tQ03NqzE?hd=1 |

Well, I would never ride like this, it's too risky, we don't have here that wide roads with so nice people as you've got there and I hate town traffic. If you rode like this here, you'd be dead by now
For me it's always just 5 minutes through the town and then I'm off the city, where I ride 100+ and overtake every car, motorcycle, whatever is on the road at a moment
One thing though, fortunately you've got supermoto, so it's at least kind of safe and I like the Ace of spades ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

If you meant being overtaken by the red car (link corrected - incident at 2m30s) then IMHO if you had dominated your lane position more that would not have happened. Can see the car approaching in your mirror anyhow.
Nobody is perfect and stuff happens. Suggest a defensive riding course would be good tuition for many people.

But you were riding for 20 seconds before the lane divided, and that is just from what the video showed. Totally incorrect lane positioning IMO.
To be honest the rest of the video is just general hazards riders encounter on a day to day basis - not just in London. I dont live in London and encounter worse than that most times I go out on the bike. ____________________ "The Internet is the first thing that humanity has built that humanity doesn't understand, the largest experiment in anarchy that we have ever had" |

i know that stretch of road running up to Streatham quite well.
just up ahead is a left turn into the lido i think and almost bang opposite is a traffic lighted right turn lane
if i had of been in that car and seen a bike poodling along slower then me i would have been inclined to pass you ...
and i may have then indicated and slowed as i had heard some bikers can be erratic in how they ride..
just to be sure you didn't speed up as i passed you and pulled in to get around that pedestrian bollard up ahead.
( Got to think as a car driver that looks like you don't want anyone to pass you AND you that's why you speeded up.... )
our riding is all about perception.
but what we see may not be what others see.
can see why the car went past and can see why you sped up,
but by being more masterful in that lane they may NOT have tried to overtake AND
if you had of slowed after they passed you would have protected yourself
MORE from accident or injury then looking daggers at them as you did..(just saying )
like shereen says any big city throws up shit/selfish drivers,
we just got more of em... ____________________ Previous bikes: Suzuki GT250A / Yamaha DT125 / NTV Honda 650 // currently Suzuki RF900 |

I sometimes get the urge to video my commute, then I see stuff like this and the feeling passes. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

I DO video my commute most days. Not every day, but the majority.
I ride into London every day with the expectation of witnessing poor driving, but actually it’s pretty rare that I see anything worth getting worked up about. Driving standards in London may be a tad on the aggressive side, but largely predictable and within acceptable legal boundaries.
I overwrite my videos within a couple of days unless there’s something worth keeping. I think I’ve only kept 3 videos this year. Hundreds of hours of footage and barely anything to raise anyone’s blood pressure.
However, regardless of the typical BCF reaction of blaming the OP for their own misfortune, the red car semi-overtake would raise my piss towards boiling point. ____________________ 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |
