I have just bought a Norton Jubilee 250, was wondering if there is anyone around with a version of the workshop manual? I have looked around and I have currently had no luck.
Thanks

Your best bet is to join the NOC.

Having had a look at the NOC site I retract my last advice.

These were not the best choice in their day, lots of hocus pocus going on under the tank which didn't translate to much other than noise. Even amongst the 'classic' crowd they're viewed as a bit of a 'Curate's Egg' (good in parts). If you're handy with spanners (Imperial sizes), enjoy a challenge (a lengthy one) and are prepared to spend some money on a bike that if the current prices are maintained probably will never be the most desirable in the world......go for it. I've had what many refer to as 'Classics' in the past and they can easily become money pits and a lot of dedication is needed to keep them in any real shape. Best of luck with it. For any useful advice there really is no alternative to the Norton Owners Club where there are some Jubilees and Navigators (350s) and Electras (400s), an associated family of bikes.

err it's a British Norton not a Vintage Jap Mr. Green
Take it you meant the VMCC.
There's plenty of books and manuals out there, a subscription to OldBikeMart more than pays for itself for finding parts and specialists.

single carb, so strip ( start at the tank filler cap ) clean, fit small vw ( sacrilage ) type fuel filter tween tank and carb.

set main needle to middle, slight throttle open on screw ( not too much or she'll rev too much ) and set air screw ( mixture screw for slowe running ) to 2 turns out ( or more for initial run so carb cleaner and petrol ( initial run with carb cleaner and some 2t ) is rich, drawing on "jets" ).

air filter ( as well as oil filters ( and tank ) ) all ok?

2 sets of points ( use dwell meter for really accurate setting ) with one being master.

by this i mean that one set it mounted to moveable base, and other set mounted on moveable plate, on this base.

auto advance ok?

so set master first then other set. some pics would be nice. Very Happy Thumbs Up
