Dunno where my account went but hey,

I passed my A2 last Tuesdays, on my 1977 cg125, and being over 25 I don't have to worry about insurance prices Thumbs Up

I ain't test rode any yet, waiting on license.

Anyone got any advice on getting a test ride from a dealer?

I would like a V-Twin, and trying to find a list of available bikes with one. Pref naked.

Been looking at a NT650 hawk, or an SV650 naked. Both sell reasonable price with low mileage on them.

Any help with them 2 problems appreciated.#

Damien

Why? Maybe start with your requirements and work towards a solution.

because of the reliability, mileage, mpg, torque.

When my license comes through, going to be trying allot for bikes, and might change my mind. But not just yet Smile

I thought I knew what I wanted until I test rode a few bikes, I also thought I wanted a naked bike until I had to ride 50 miles in the pouring rain on my cg125. It's cool to have ideas but think about what you are going to be using the bike for and then go and try loads.

The factors you mention are more governed by state of tune and capacity than engine configuration. For example, Ducatis are V-twins and not famed for their reliability, whereas CBR600 engines, inline fours, can rack up galactic miles on just basic servicing.

Worth trying as many as you can before you buy. I viewed or test rode nearly 20 before I bought my bike.

Naked SVs are a bit thin on the ground compared to the faired bike which are very common. You can always add a comfort kit and renthals for <£300 if you don't mind the faired look and can't find a suitable naked.

With a fenda extenda the non-firing front cylinder in the wet shouldn't be a problem.
