Well this morning on the way into work (on the hire bike I might add), I had 4 poxy pigeons, on 4 seperate occasions, sitting in the middle of my lane, who refused to move until I pretty much splatted them, and then they all fly almost directly at me. Even a massive blast on the horn didn't seem to scare them.

Then to top it off, about half a mile from work, a fox darts out of a hedge about 20 foot in front of me on a single lane NSL, causing a rather brown trouser moment.

I'm starting to believe a bit more in karma, the day before I crashed the ZXR I twatted a pigeon with my shoulder at about 60~ and left him looking a bit sorry for himself.

It's like something out of the Birds I tell thee.

Anyone else experiencing suicidal animals a bit more this year, or have I just become some sort of motorised pigeon executioner?

I took out a Blackbird on tuesday. It just flew out of a hedge right in front of me at about 60mph. Bounced off the screen and presumably died!

Hit a pigeon earlier this summer for the firs time. He literally exploded on impact and left blood, guts and shit all over the bike, jacket and helmet. Nearly hit another kamikaze pigeon the following day too!

Remember a few years ago, when I ran over the fresh corpse of a pretty large fox, must of only recently been hit, because it was largely intact. My own fault for riding in the middle of the lane, and a little too close to the car in front, he drove straight over it, and by the time it emerged from under his car I couldn't avoid it.

Got in to work and there were bits of burnt flesh, and blood spatters all over the bike (was on my little CB-1), wasn't that pleasant I must admit.

Took a baby seagull out the other day think it was a jap type. Just came down from behind me over my lid onto the ground in front of my front wheel. Deathwish? Looked in my mirrors and it did not look like it was going to try that again.

Hav`nt hit any animals this year thankfully.

However the other evening I was out and going at a fair old lick and a LARGE insect hit my visor (luckily it was down).
We met at such a pace that it burst on my visor and there was so much of it I had to stop to wipe my visor because I cound`nt see out of it .
It, whatever it was has actually taken a small lump out of the visor .

Funnily enough, last night whilst riding on a Nsl road, a squirrel ran from the opposite side of the road to what I initially thought was going to be into my path.

It's gonna be flat, it's gonna be flat! I thought……

How wrong was I?! The freaking thing froze about an inch over the white line!!

It was its lucky day, and mine?!

Has anyone hit a squirrel before? The animal I fear most is probably the badger. I'm pretty sure that would throw one right off the bike. But would a squirrel cause any more than a wobble and brown trouser moment?!

i mind 1 day i was going a wee shade fast on my busa on a b road & a deer ran out of the woods in front of me & as quick as it came out on to the road it turned round & ran bk in to the woods , what a bloody fright my chest felt like someone had punched it !

Never forget getting a small bat straight in my face, I was wearing an open face helmet too. Luckily I was only going about 20mph, otherwise I dread to think how far down my throat he would have got!

Quite an assortment of wild live round here including kamikaze birds that fly right in front of the bike/helmet on a number of occasions.
