Hi to all! Been a member of the site for a while now and this is my first post!

I have a 1988 cbr 400rr nc23! Got it for a swap for my kx 250 2 stroke! the bike was running but didn't look in best form! Reading through al the treads here made me decide to do mine over! As complete and good as possible but not blowing the budget!

Here is how it looked when I got it!

Visited ebay and order the following:

1.New choke cable.
2.New radiator fan switch.
3.New fuel tap!

Al of these the previos owner butchered in some way exept the fan switch!(that one was my fault).

Things I want to order:

1.New brake and clutch levers.
2. New keys( Mine look Sick and I need a spare!).
3.New instrument switches( mine look like they have been dipped in acid or something).

I got carried away and ordered a new fairing kit! Laughing The guy from the coaters friday I can come and collect! So everything is coming along! Just the long wait for all the parts to arrive!

Nice looking bike. Look forward to seeing it done.

Please, for the love of god, stop ending sentences with exclamation marks. It makes the whole damn post very difficult to read and kinda ruins the thread.

Yep. Looking for a cbr 600 shock. Very expensive though. Trying to get a good secondhand one. The front feels ok for me but the old rear shock is so freakin hard. Want something to adjust the damping rate.

Had a long weekend so had an extra day to get some work done.

This was not the best way to go but I had no other option! I hanged the frame to my garage roof to get the wheels on.
https://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u415/etvw/IMG00002-20120922-0940_zpsf30a5cdd.jpg

Was very difficult but after about 2 1/2 hours.
https://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u415/etvw/IMG00003-20120922-1419_zps174faf15.jpg

Had to tap most of the treads as the powdercoaters didn't close them. At least it's back to a rolling chassis state.

Then started with the wiring loom. Just took off all the old tape and retaped it with fresh tape. Sprayed all the plugs with contact cleaner.Still waiting for parts :rollhttps://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u415/etvw/IMG00004-20120922-1500_zpsc85fefed.jpg
