Basically got my NSR back together From
Having top end rebuild, carb clean, and all new carb gaskets and seals,
It's had fuel filter cleaned and pipes cleaned and some other bit's,

I don't know if this is correct, but bike starts fine and runs lovely, when I turned it off, and went inside my house I came back out to it later, and their was petrol on the floor, problem was
I left the fuel on reserve and it leaks out of a gap in the air filter pipe going on the carb, is this normal when you
Leave the tap
On ?

Matt

I don't think so, the float height could be wrong. When I was faffing about with the GN some time ago I'd messed up the float height somehow which (I assumed) was allowing too much fuel into the float bowl which was then dripping from the overflow pipe. I'd say run the bike for a bit, turn it off and get on the floor and see where it's coming from. If it's dripping from the overflow then whoever did the work on the carb might have upset the float height or the float needle may be sticking.

if you paid someone to clean the carb for you could take it back and tell them to sort out the carb.

sounds like you may have some crud stuck between your float valve and float valve seat.

Could be, if the floats jamming and randomly flooding the engine a smidge.

Got an email adress? I'll mail you over a PDF manual for the YBR125. Belive it to be the one yamaha issues the dealerships with - theres a whole chapter on removal, stripping, cleaning, setup and adjustments to the carb Thumbs Up

Obviously dont set it up like a YBR, but it's got some realy good pics on how to do the job

Yeah it's " [email protected] "

Cheers bud Thumbs Up

No it doesn't pro,

Bike runs lovely after about 20 seconds of running then after 5 minutes it's running even better, also seems like its running a bit rich, as theirs a good amount of smoke on start up.

Hmm, I'd worry about where that petrol was going in all honesty...

Oh i am i am just wondering would the smoking be a cause of the float height being altered ?
