well helmet to be precise
Finally signed my life away for a garage thats a very short walk from home. Keeping the bike there when I get some decent security etc installed but I'm wondering what to do with my gear?
Do you guys with a garage keep it there or at home and walk around to the garage with it? if you do keep it there how do you stop it going mouldy with the moist air?

I keep my kit in the house - left some gloves in the garage for a few weeks by accident once and they went green with mould
Would something airtight, like a fridge/freezer work? You could get a knackered one and store your stuff in there (with it off obviously) |

Grab a battery powered heater and stick it in the corner. Leave gear in there and recharge batteries at home.
Or, just keep stuff indoors. |

I bought one of these:

And stuck it up next to the coat rack next to front door. Is a really good fit to hang a helmet from.

My bikes live in a garage that is temperature controled and then they are wrapped in bubble-wrap and put down in a bed of finest goose down.
My kit is hematicaly sealed in a sterile container after being washed in the water from the tears of Angels.
Nah! bike lives in the garage along with the kit.
Kit is hung up so it does`nt get mingy/mouldy/damp.
Never had a problem putting kit in the garage as long as it is ventilated. |
Ar, thanks for the info (hehe at the bubble wrap!)
Might be easier during the summer months so people dont see me walking away with kit on and know there is a bike left! ____________________ Current: Kawazaki ZX6R 51
