My poorly RG suzuki gamma 125 has died.
Ive not been on here for months.
What happened was i come over a hill, a bloody short steep up and over style hill to quick and a car stopped in front, i lost the front end and bang down went me and the bike.
This is a 1987 e reg half faired gamma, so the headlight bracket got bent, clocks got smashed, tank got serverely dented, water pump casing now has a hole, indicators snapped, panels cracked, levers snapped, brake fluid reservoir sanded down, etc etc
Now it ran fine once i slapped a load of car body filler on the water pump casing she ran fine, took me to work and back a few times, completely jailbait to ride but it beats payin 6 pound for a taxi there and back.
One day i just came down the dual carrigeway to work and it died, just cut out, neeooooooor, pfffft and then wouldnt go again.
Had fuel, spark etc, it now starts after a load of kickstarting, sweating and running down the road with it in gear like a idiot, but it effortlessly ticks over for 5 seconds then dies out, if you give it any sort of throttle it drowns itself and chugs and stalls.
Cleaned carb more times than i care to remmeber, changed the spark plug the lead etc, seems to have compression.
the bike would never run with its element in the air filter, it would always misfire like a sod so i left it out, sounded so nice though and the carb is all standard and standard exhaust, carb is set up fine.
Now 3 months on its sat outside next to my car, partially stripped, battered, rusty, wet, damp bruised and going no where, now i want to get it back up again running well, so whats wrong with it?
Its been owned by 2 boy racers and subject to 70mph stints down 30 - 40 limit road most of the last 8 months, 30 thousand on the clock so its had a good thrashing , before that it sat in a barn for 8 years after some old geezer decked it through a hedge.
Any ideas why it won't run? I fancy getting the top end off and having a look at the barrel/rings/piston
Where can i buy parts for these bikes online??
