No, you can not derestrict your bike. That is because it is not restricted. It is not really possible to gain significant amounts of power without spending a lot of money (much cheaper to do your test and buy a bigger bike probably).

Exhaust:
There are some, doubt they effect performance much, get the one you like the look/sound of.

Given that it's a 4 stroke - you can't deristrict it. Fitting an aftermarket exhaust may liberate a few extra ponies, but it's not worthwhile on a small capacity machine. Use the search thread to find previous threads about it or find more in-depth discussions on https://www.125ccsportsbikes.com/ regarding your predicament as they are more specialised to 125 ccs.

In short - you can't derestrict it and any performance gains from your product will be minimal.

Anyhoo, I there are MICRON, SCORPION nad some endurance exhaust system for the cbr125. Endurance being the best, but then again, I think it costs about 1/4 of the bike Shocked

What g said, get the one you like the look/sound of and thats cheep as you bound to fall off at some point(we all do, me allot Laughing

). Get some bobbins if you want you bike to stay looking new Thumbs Up

I have the micron exaust at the moment, very good for sound and size but not much performance wise. Thinking of taking my bike to a garage as Honda said i have restrictors as it will only do 65-70mph! please reply,

You say you've just bought it new?
Shouldn't you be running it in?

They shouldn't be restricted in anyway, as they produce under the maximum limit of power for a learner.

How hard have you tried when you got 70mph? I have heard of people getting a top speed of 75, maybe 80 at a big push, but these probably involved holding it flat out for ages and may have included slight inclines.

Usual advice would be to be patient, then spend your money doing your test, so you can sell your bike and get a better one.

75mph flat out, but you have to hit the redline in 4th on the way!!

Craig on www.125ccsportsbikes.com sells a number of parts, the endurance system is £165-180 i think! And it is a full race system, which makes it sound very loud! He also sells yoshi' rearsets, seat cowls an various other aftermarket goodies!

Most 4 stroke 125's are very sluggish at top gears engine-wise. 3rd gear and 4th are very-very useful and i can feel the torque pull me through - 5th is very useless, even when doing 60mph. If you want to improve the sound - play around with the air filter. I know this might not be recommended as it may have an effect on performance and fuel cons as well as messing up the fuelling, but try to see if there's a rubber inlet manifold on the airbox like there is on the XR. Either remove this completely or just hollow it out using a sharp+precise implement to remove the unwanted rubber. I've noticed my bike feels more responsive lower down the revs with a deeper sound to the exhaust. But, there's nothing much you can do on a 4 stroke 125 - any performance gains WILL be minimal and probably not worth it. Save it for more important stuff, like riding gear Wink
