I replaced my clutch lever on my Bandit. And fudged the rest of the bike. I got no headlights only the faint flash light. I get the oil light but no neutral light. If I put the light switch on full beam I dont get the blue light on. Indicators work. No horn. Not able to turn bike on. Gear lever not clicking through the gears.

Any ideas of how all above might be connected to cause these probs after a simple clutch lever change

Cheers

Is it a genuine lever or a patten part.?

Is there an electrical switch associated with the clutch.?

On the clutch lever side, there will be 2 little rubber looking connectors ... green/blue wires here https://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/attachments/transalp/16678d1327320683-clutch-switch-clutch.jpg

Take them off and connect those 2 wires together. Make sure its in neutral. Hit the starter button Thumbs Up

Did you catch the wiring to the switch cluster with the spanner while you were fitting the lever?

Thanks all for the replies. I fixed my little problem. I really don't want to post how as its embarrassing but we can't all be bike experts. So with a red face here is what the problem was.
This morning I went back out to have a real good look over my bike with Haynes manual in hand and a volt meter I set about diagnosing these multiple faults (nearly took the day off work so I could finish). I put the ignition key in and this time I got the tachometer needles to move and the neutral light come on. I tried to start and nothing!
Then it hit me and this is the red faced part. My light went in my garage last night whilst I was fitting the clutch lever so I used the headlights of the bike to illuminate the garage. 2 hours later the lights went out but by that time I had fixed the main light in the garage so hadn't notice them die. I flattened the battery Embarassed
Charged it and voila, jobs a gooden.

Clutch switch, unscrew it and the lever will come off.
