M/C Parking at Supermarkets

I thought about creating a fuss but was wary that they could have painted out the lines and said, "Fcuk bikers." then.

Fuck em. I use the cycle rack. It's more easily viewable, even from inside the store, and your bike wont get taken out by some blind twunt.

Gives you something to chain the bike to as well if it's in a more craphole area of town, especially in the dark.

I take it that parking bay is nearest to the door so that the lazy manager doesn't have to walk far?

My local Sainsburies has an 'M/C only bay' right in the furthest corner possible away from the door, on the other side of the carpark. On the plus side though - No cars park anywhere near it, let alone on it.

Our local Tesco has bollards around the M/C parking area (conveniently located next to an entrance), making it physically impossible to park anything other than a motorbike there. Win.

Most council car parks have motorbike bays, but hell if I can find them!

I gave up parking in the bike bays at my local Sainsburys after one guy shoved his trolley towards it then stalked off yelling "No, its for trolleys" at me when I spoke to him. He had to walk back to his car which was parked right next to the trolley thing...

So no I park right by the door.

I spoke to customer services about this once, and they pointed me in the direction of the security guy on the door who said "Just park here next to the front doors, as there's nothing I can do"
So I now park next to the front door of pretty much all supermarkets.
