bandit 600 (1996)

Hi guys, been looking over the fuel system on the bandit, and it runs pretty badly.

Looks like there is no vacuum pump thing, there is a thin vacuum tube, and it leads into a nib on the top of ONE of the carbs, the other carbs have the same nib, but are all covered up with rubber caps.

Noticed on ebay I'm missing a vacuum thingymabobby.
is there a diagram on how it's all supposed to go together?

At the moment it takes about a minute of holding the starter button even before the engine wants to start...

cheers

Not sure what part you mean, it's sounds right from what you are saying.

basically there are like vacuum feed pump things on ebay, but mines lacking this.

All mine has, is a tube going to ONE of the carbs. Isnt it supposed to split off into four and go to all four carbs? Cheers.

Giz a link, there's only 1 pipe from the tap to one of the carbs.

This, on the bandit I worked on there was 1 vac line from one of the end carbs to the fuel tap, all other vac connections on the carbs were blanked off.

There are four vacuum take-offs, one on each carb, for balancing the carbs. Three should be capped, the fourth should have a small hose connected to the fuel tap, which provides a vacuum signal and turns on the fuel when the engine is running.

Cheers guys all is perfect then! Does it have to be any carb in particular? At the moment it's on the far right hand side one.

Just looked bodged with the blank off tubes having screws in Rolling Eyes , bike has been running quite badly so ordered new plugs. Will see how it goes. Cool Thanks again.

Check the exhaust for leaks. My collector box was leaky and it ran like death.
