Bandit decision.... help please.

Good price to pay?

Bandit, 1998, 52k, good condition, £900

My question is, would the 1650 hold its value (it is unlikely i'll add more than 4k to the clocks a year). is it a good price to py or should I keep looking elsewhere.

Also know of a 2003, zr750, 10k, for about 1800. But I think the bandit looks nicer.

That's not a bad price for a dealer really.
On Ebay, they tend to go for between £1200-1400 for a 01 model.

Why not buy my Triumph Speed Four instead, far superior to both Z750 and bandit.

I know this is slightly inflated but I wanted the piece of mind a dealer gives you for my first big bike.

Hornets are another option, but from what I've heard the tank range is terrible

I have a hornet 900 as my first big bike and it's tank range is the same as a hornet 600...both are terrible. 100 miles to fill up, apart from that it's better in every single way compared to a bandit, which i was thinking of getting

I think the mileage is more to do with the size of the tank rather than the MPG isn't it?

Friend has a 2006 Bandit 650 (last of the oil cooled ones) with about 75k miles on it, and it still runs absolutely perfectly. Other than a bit of rust on the frame we've had to sort out it is still pretty new looking. So don't let mileage put you off if there is decent service history with it.
