Hi everyone!!
I am a Motorcycle design student (and avid rider!) with the aim of designing and manufacturing a bike specifically for the courier industry.
For those of you who are in the Courier Business/have been throughout your motorcycle careers/or know of anybody who has, could you please take 2 minutes and complete my survey
Any and all information is greatly appreciated

So your plan is to design the Honda Pan European
Why not design something useful, like a bike with a hole in the tank you can put your willy in whilst riding and it "massages you" as you go? ____________________ Stinkwheel: You have no right to free speech

Which is why I`ve decided to ask those of you who are in the Courier Business/have been throughout your motorcycle careers/or know of anybody who has, could you please take 2 minutes and complete my survey, because I can`t be bothered to figure out the answers for myself
Because like all students, I prefer to spend my study time on the Xbox, shagging and drinking cheap booze, instead of working on a more unique & worthwhile subject for my assignment

Your survey is dire.
I have just short of 20 years experience in and around the Courier industry. This includes being a rider, being a controller, running/owning the bike fleet and running the company. I am now one of the controllers for one of the biggest private fleets in the UK.
If you really want advice I can give it but you are looking at £50 an hour. |

I've heard that the reason is in MPG, reliability and Honda's warranty with unlimited mileage.
Many couriers got a small top box + an over shoulder bag. That's it.
So the storage is not the number 1 most important reason.
Some companies put the huge box on their bikes but most couriers don't need them.
My guess is: #1 reliability, #2 running cost, #3 Comfort, #4 quick in town, #5 storage
There is plenty of scooters and CBF125 as well.
Another guess about bike popularity: 60% seems to be Honda, 20% Suzuki, 15% Yamaha, 5% Kawasaki. ____________________ MCForum meetup - One of the biggest motorcycle clubs in UK

As an 'avid' biker I thought the ideal courier bike had already been done.
Wasn't it Honda's NTV600. No wait, the NTV650. Or was it the Kwak GT550 and/or GT750. Longer distance there's the Pan European. Then again the Divvy 900. Or wasn't it any bike with a working engine and a top box. I get confused! ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...
