You'll get hounded by MCE... no real problem. It is TPFT and excess is £1000. Otherwise it worked fine for me and allowed me to ride home legally after buying the bike. ____________________ 22PlusY

The catch is probably the massive excess you'll lose if you crash it within those 7 days, but otherwise I don't see an issue

Course you'll get spammed, why else are they offering it?
Bear in mind that you're not strictly legal until a certificate of insurance has been 'delivered' to you, either physically or (not that coppers believe this) electronically.
Given how incompetent and understaffed MCE are reported to be, I'd want to be sure that there's more of a record of it being issued than a verbal confirmation over the phone. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

It took about 15 minutes on the 'phone but I received the 'paperwork' by email onto my phone so was sorted.
As it happened their quote was the best of those I canvassed within the seven days so went with them anyway.
No spam or junk from other companies. The odd mail or two from MCE otherwise fine. ____________________ 22PlusY

Aviva do the same for most car garages. |
Ah, yes, Fun with Phone Drones.
I do keep a list of insurers that I will never, ever give business to, and Aviva is #1. They're the same mongs that class a Crosstourer as a "sports bike". ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
