This would be more readable if you typed it up on a keyboard and used some of the special keys, like shift and return Wink

As it is, it looks like stream of consciousness from a phone. Did this happen just recently? Did you actually take the police to court?

On the face of it that appears odd. My understanding is that if the police have a vehicle for fingerprinting etc. then you do not pay for the storage. Problem might be you not been told they'd finished with it.

I have never understood why you have to pay for recovery. It's the police's decision to recover so should be at their cost. If only a few doors down then IMHO no excuse not to let you know even if it's just a note through the door saying 'phone us.

Might be worth putting in a complaint. Of course nothing will happen, no police will be found at fault (and they wonder why the public has no confidence in them Rolling Eyes ). It might make you feel better though.

It's stories like this that makes me wonder where our tax money goes.

It's not on education, that's for darn sure. Sad

Ordinarily you do not have to pay for an FOI or DPA request, only a request involving a lot of research and man hours could be refused on cost grounds. Annoy them, submit your FOI and then complian to the ombudsman if it is not answered within twenty working days.

OP on his way back home after collecting his motorbike. He forgot it had an engine, also mistook a cone as some trendy headwear his wench would admire.

A good member of the public did try to chase him down due to his grammar, I'm not sure what the outcome was.

well well,it seems my grammar is not what it was and perhaps I shouldnt have posted the conversation as it doesnt seem to have been understood, however as one poster asked ,are we going to court?the answer is yes. but having read most of the views on here Ive no wish to post a result here,I didnt think so many bikers hadnt grown up.....i think i will stick to a BIKERS forum in future where discussion can take place.

I'm amazed with myself that I actually read that post, just randomly include the return key next time Smile

Anyway if somewhere hasn't got fingerprint powder on it might just be because they removed it as there was a fingerprint there.

As for the charge, why don't you write a... get someone to write a letter of complaint to the chief constable and ask them to justify the charge or have you already been to court?

Oh no, I really was looking forward to the result. Crying or Very sad

Just so you know, most of us here don't wear leather arseless chaps, write biker poems or ride 1 day a year. Have fun discussing your mundane grovel on a "true bikers" forum. Thumbs Up

I'm not unsympathetic, I'm just not sure what I should be sympathetic / angry / aroused about.

I rather suspect this is a Usually_Wrong stylee gangsta rap about how you're totally going to file a Federal Writ of Aggravated Class Action Tortitute against them. Best of luck with that, and I do mean it.
