Hi it could be so many things, from compression in the engine to sticking variator rollers or torque spring, or the belt/clutch slipping. I would take it to someone who knows the bikes to be sure as otherwise you could just keep trying things which gets expensive

Firstly I would advise you to not use "am new" but to use "I'm new" instead.
Secondly I would advise you use a spellchecker.
Thirdly I would advise you not to ride like a tool. Thumbs Up

I did a lot of work on speedfight 2's in a previous job, the best advise I can give for riding a restricted 50 uphill is make sure you're flat out when you start from the bottom

might be an idea to look at the rollers though!

I used to had a speedy 2 and I would suggest popping off the transmission case and variator and looking at the rollers, they may be old and worn and need replacing, only a 15 minute job

Check the belt too, stretched or worn out belt = lack of power to final drive

+1

Replacing my belt with a new Polini one gave my bike a new lease of life, gaining an extra 5mph at least, which, when your on a moped means alot! Haha Wink

Sockets and ratchet to undo the transmission case and then you will be able to tell if the belt is stretched by eye really, variator is held on by one nut although you may need a variator holding tool for that one
