Have i been ripped off?

I took my bike down for its m.o.t after it being brought from some guy for 200
it was stripped down cleaned up and re-sprayed.
After the m.o.t guy looked at it he says ok well ive found these problems-

- Side pannel where clutch is needs fixing and replacing.
- The rear suspension has play in it, maybe shock or just looser parts but he said he didnt change the shock in the end.
-adjusted my front light for me
-Did mot
-checked for loose bolts ect ect
-new bearings in front wheel.
-I imagine this would include labour charges as well.

My bike is a suzuki ts 50 x

This all cost me £150

Is it worth it??

(if i find hes done anything else which he didnt mention on the phone i will add it later)

Sounds pretty cheep mate, i wouldnt be complaining, everytime ive took 1 one of my bikes to the shpos its cost me £200+ most times.

Sounds fine to me. For that price you can't expect something not to be wrong. Won't be too expensive to fix I'd imagine. If you do get the shock rebuilt then you're looking at around £80. That's what I just got done to my own bike. But then it was needing a whole lot of work.

Adjusting rear shock won't have taken him that long, not more than 30mins. The front light would be a five minute job. The MOT costs £15, checking for loose bolts isn't a seperate job he would spot any major ones in the MOT, new bearings is £20. What does he mean by sdide panel, the engine cover on the clutch side? £150 sounds way too much, £50-£75 max really.

Well, down here collection and delivery alone would be at least £50 from most places.

Well i guess i have to look at the positive side of things, its safe now, 150 pound for my life (maybe) seems worth it to me Smile

Good Good i didnt think it was all that bad but i have no previous experiences to tell from, hes quite a small place i guess thats why he gets so much business and does not charge as much.
