lol big shock there

Failed because:
Frotn headlamp at least one does not illuminate on dipped beam (lol wut, only one bulb comes on by default and the other is highbeam, thats how dull it is by default it works fine!)
Headlamp aim too high and too far too the left - Yeah okay, but I can literally push it down with my hand, it is fucked up and bent though

Here's the best one...
Front wheel out of line with rear wheel. Motorcycle structure excessively distorted.

Poop! It rides fine though, doesnt pull to either side or feel 'odd' but does look on the piss somewhat I think..it's an optical illusion!

The guy said he couldn't get my key out the ignition either... Rolling Eyes Just fucking pull harder nonce!

So you can't ride it at the moment.

Fix it.

How do I fix structural distortion? It doesn't coast left or right when I take my hands off and the thing with the headlight makes me wonder about this garage Laughing

New headlight is like £50, can do that, the bracket is bent but I could maybe bend it back else that's another fiddy, it was pissing me off anyway right cunt to put back together every time I have to fiddle with electrics

Least I know what needs sorting... dunno if the front wheel alignment is because of the new forks or wut Thinking

The CG may just make a comeback Laughing
Crying or Very sad

Bent frame by the sounds of it, a write off. Can get them straightened but need to strip everything off it first. Not sure if it's worth it.

Chances are the bottom yoke is bent.

Take the wheel out and check fork alignment with two straight-edges.

Then get plank of wood and twist between forks until the straight edges line up. I did this to my dad's Virago when he dropped it.

You see, when you drop a bike, the steering stops suffer a large impact and this usually deflects the bottom yoke. Most people think their forks are bent, when it's sometimes the yoke instead. This then causes the front wheel to run parallel with the back wheel instead of in line with it.

I can't guarantee that's what's wrong with yours, but it does cost nothing to fix, so HTH Thumbs Up

Dmcpro; those forks wouldnt fit and the yoke didn't fit either, so I bought 2008 forks and yokes which fit and sold the ones I bought off you
the cg is leaking oil and the sump is rounded off, replacement will be here in a few days

Thanks keggy, the yokes were replaced also though, but t could still be the forks, I just used the mudguard to line up the forks figured that'd straighten it

Trying to work out where the play is with bits of string, don't get how to do it as pegs and exhaust and bits are in the way?

Frame was straightened after my first crash, unless they didn't do a very good job? wasn't re MOT'd

Just out of curiosity, with the headlight, would they allow you to adjust that at the MOT station as I have a similar headlight on my gpz which hasn't been aligned and I was going to take the tools with me

Headlight adjustment is the only thing that a tester is officially allowed to modify during testing as far as I am aware. So to answer your question; yes they would but could probably do it themselves if it won't take too long. If, however, it's a long winded process expect them to fail it. You can always tell them that you know how to quickly adjust it.

.
Are the forks bent as someone suggested.?

If they are and the cause of your woes I have a virtually brand new immaculate pair of fork legs here for a CG. Thumbs Up

Pick em up and they are yours for free.!

I 'did' have a set of stanchions also but gave them to someone on here. (they were a bit used)

Ooops. Just realised it's your YBR not the CG that has the problem so the forks would be of no use. Crying or Very sad

You didn't take your bike to Fast Track, did you? That one near town, near KFC St. Matthews area?

Don't go there, they're scammers. Wanted £50 to remove a tyre and fix a puncture, £50!!! Got said puncture repaired for £10, it had a slit and air escaping at the valve, fixed up at a car tyre place, fitted on, no problems since. Very Happy

Also heard from another biker suffering from them can't remember what he had happen now though, crash damage or something and they tried to charge him overnight storage when he didn't want their business. Won't be going there again.
