And a couple of buddies into the deal.

Went up yesterday to check it out, was only going to be there 5 minutes, was there an hour talking to the guy with the Garage next door.

He is a big bike nut, he has an R Reg ZRX1100 & an '03' (I think) ZX12R. the ZRX looked absolutely mint.

We had a really good chat, turns out the guy the other side of me has a BSA and is a good bike Mechanic.

Really chuffed, £60/month isn't bad (for London anyway), now to find something to go in there! Very Happy

No electric, it's a lot less than some dilapidated heaps I was looking at, and also good terms with the owner. Didn't want several months in advance, deposit, etc. etc.

It's about the going rate, unless you can get a council garage!

I seem to remember seeing an article about some single garage in London being sold for more than I paid for my house in Milton Keynes.

It wasn't anything special either. Madness. Laughing

This is about 15-20 minutes walk away. So it's perfect.

I was paying £60 for a garage in Reading for storage - private, but the cheapest I'd seen. It was central, but wasn't any cheaper further out.

If it's secure, and not owned by a dodgy geezer with dodgy mates, and you live in London, it might well be worth the money

Been down there this afternoon sorting a few things out.

Set of 8 Professional screwdrivers. You know the soft cushioned things. RRP £9.99

So it was even more of a bargain.

Alpha, no leccy but have a Generator I can borrow, may even get my own.

I have tea making facilities, have my camping gear there, so stove there (obviously not when working on carbs though). Shocked

My lockup is unpowered and has no water (except for the leaky roof Rolling Eyes). Damn sight better than leaving my bikes on the street though. Still it is less than a minutes walk away and only £20 pcm.

That's nothing, there was an article a while ago about PARKING PLACES selling for tens of thousands.

Londoners with second homes. Yuck.

Cool

I wouldn't delude yourself in to thinking it's much more secure though. The main benefit is protection from the weather and against accidental damage. Most garage locks can be opened in seconds.
