Left the bike to stand in cold garage for most part of 3 weeks and it was really cold.

Tried to start it, it was very very weak turning and would not start.

Took battery out check with multimeter 11.70V

Ok so I have put it on charge (Lidls charger), after more than 5 hours charger indicated battery is fully charged, checked again with multimeter and it shows 12.85v - sweet.

This morning checked again and it shows 12.72V - so clearly discharged a bit.

Is it normal for battery to go down a bit or is the battery gone and I need a new one?

It is normal acid battery, nothing fancy.

Thanks in advance

You're supposed to leave the battery for a few hours after charging before testing voltage. If you tested immediately after charging then again a few hours later it would be normal to see a lower second reading. That would be normal and doesn't suggest you're battery is knackered.

The standing voltage of a fully charged flooded type battery at 20 degrees c is 12.6 volts, sounds to me like a good battery. I charge them and give them 24 hours then check voltage. Checking whilsst on charge or just after charging will only show a faulty battery generally.

The surface voltage will drop off a bit over 24 hrs. Dropping from 12.85 to 12.72 is not bad at all. Your battery appears to be a little sulfated as it should have been able to reach peak voltage of 13 after charge. All in all this battery sounds fine when looking at the voltage.
