Hello I have ACF50 which i use on my bike.. i shook it and sprayed abit on the bits i needed to. Then sprayed it on another area and all that came out was this weird black stuff it was like a hard gooey thing... so i thought i'd shake it and spray again and its like the same substance! does anyone know if this is normal? cause it wasn't like that when i have used it in the past.

Thanks Thumbs Up

The liquid is rather viscous, so may need heating a little before application. Try placing the can in some warm/hot water for a while (not too long!) and trying again. This will help to thin the liquid a little preventing the sludge.
Hope this helps.

as above plus make sure the can rattles when you shake it.

I used it for the first time yesterday on my bike and I may have gone a bit wild with it. The garage really stinks now and the kids who live directly above it are complaining Neutral . I also got some on the front discs, though they still stopped me ok today.

I suppose the smell could be petrol from flooding the carbs restarting the bike after adjusting the mix.

It says on the can that it needs to be kept warm to work optimally, so warm the can up in some water like others have said and make sure you shake it for a few minutes before use. Just don't get any on the brake discs.

Got some on the front brake disc myself I reckon, because ever since then the front brake has not been as powerful.

I spray a cotton cloth and then wipe down the metal surfaces with that. Excessive ACF50 just makes the road crud stick to the bike.

It's pretty much suppose to come out like that.

What I do is spray some in the cap and then dip a paint brush in it and then apply it to different parts of the bike.

Makes application a lot easier and not as messy.

To those that spray it straight on the bike, why not just set fire to your £15 instead?
A quick search on here prompted me to remember the saying, 'a little goes a long way'.
Spray it on a cloth and wipe it on the bike. Even if there are bits you can't reach, the ACF-50 is so full of black magic that it will cover those bits itself as long as you get close enough with your application.

I coat my bike twice a year with it, using loads and spraying directly onto the bike. It is still more than half full one year later Thumbs Up
Shaking it for a few minutes is also OTT advice, just chuck it in some warm water, shake a couple of times and spray...

It smells good

I bought a litre bottle, which I expect to outlast me, and just brush and wipe it on. You get a lot more actual product for your money.
