 |

So, a few days ago, I decided to check when my tax was due. Then I go hunting for my V5 and I can't find it.
Then it occurs to me that I may have never received one in the first place, when I bought my bike back in November last year.
I sent a nice email to the DVLA asking them to check if one was ever sent and what they could do to help.
A few days later I receive the following reply -
Dear Mr *******
Thank you for your email received on 3/2/13. Your email reference number is *******.
It may help if I explain that a Registration Certificate (V5C) has been sent to you. However, as you have not received it, I have arranged for a replacement V5C to be sent to you. You should receive this within the next 2 weeks.
Should the original Registration Certificate materialise it must be returned to the address below with a covering letter, as it will no longer be valid.

Turns out they can fuck things up and then fix them again ____________________ Yamaha MT-09

Very true, I may have been at fault, but then it's nice to see that, IF they never sent one in the first place, that I haven't had to fill out a V62, or had to pay £25 for a new V5. ____________________ Yamaha MT-09
