Hi mate
Might be worth running your details through on this, and compare it to bikes you've already ridden to get an idea of how comfortable or otherwise you're going to be on it:

I had a VFR400 back in 1990, my brother bought a red & black stripey ZXR400 shortly afterwards. I'm 6' 5" and found that while the VFR was small it was perfectly comfortable; I had a go on the ZXR and found it palatial by comparison. The gearbox was agricultural though.
Damn, I even have a picture of it (the muppet is one of my brothers).

Never noticed it to feel small when I first got it, but after riding a few bigger bikes, it did make it seem a bit smaller (and more easy to throw around corners ) ____________________ RS50 - ZXR400 - ZXR 400 - ZX7R - Bandit 600 - NTV 650 |

The ZXR is bigger and more comfortable than CBR 400 I found, but generally I felt neither to be particularly uncomfortable in the first place for somebody of my height (6'2).
ZXR had a little more go to it but not significantly more, did find it requires slightly more throttle action to get the most out of it, the CBR had better mid-range.
Both me and my mate had a few electrical gremlins with our bikes, reg/rec failures, melted wires and so forth mostly on his bike might I add which had less than 20k miles and quite tidy compared to myCBR.

OT but I'm amazed at the 6 footers on here happy to ride a CBR400. I'm 5'10" and find mine quite excruciating after an hour. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

I am six foot two and get on fine with NC30 and NC35, had a ride on a ZXR400 a few years ago for a couple of hours and was fine. Always wanted one. |
